Husband Left for a Vacation with His Mistress — But His Wife Already Knew… He Wasn’t Ready for Such Surprise!

Lauren had been eager to discuss how to turn the situation to her advantage. With his help, she could not only dismantle Ethan’s facade of success but also exit the marriage without losing their shared assets. Now, with Ethan gone, her revenge plan kicked into gear.

She knew he’d cheated before, but this trip with Jessica was the catalyst that spurred her to act. Ethan had set the stage for her revenge, and she wasn’t about to let the opportunity slip. After seeing him off and sending Emily to school, Lauren grabbed her phone. Her first call was to Daniel.

“Hey, Danny!” she began, skipping formalities. “Still want to get back at Ethan for that humiliation?”

“More than ever! I can still see his smug face,” Daniel replied, his irritation clear.

“Perfect. Pull up our prenup and start preparing divorce papers.”

“Is there a reason?” Daniel asked, intrigued.

“There will be soon. He’s off on a vacation with his mistress as we speak.”

“Alright, Lauren. But you know I can’t move forward without solid evidence.”

“I’ll have proof soon. Don’t worry,” she said confidently.

“Looking forward to it!” Daniel replied, clearly anticipating the drama.

As soon as Daniel hung up, Lauren took her next step. She called a photographer friend from the magazine she freelanced for.

“Hey, Artie! How about a free three-day trip to the Bahamas?” she asked with a sly smile.

“Hi, Lauren! Sounds tempting!” Art replied, intrigued. “But I’m guessing there’s a catch?”

“Of course. You’ll need to do a little work. It’s right up your alley.”

“I’m always game!” the photographer said enthusiastically.

“I’ll give you the name of the hotel where my husband’s staying. He won’t be alone, if you catch my drift. I need photos—preferably as juicy as possible.”

“Piece of cake!” Art agreed without hesitation.

“And you’ll send them to my email?”

“You know it comes at a price, Lauren.”

“Deal,” she said, smiling.

All that was left was to wait, and the wait didn’t disappoint. Two days later, photos landed in her inbox—exactly what she’d been hoping for. Her husband Ethan, caught on camera, passionately kissing Jessica.

Other shots showed them at a bar, laughing and clearly enjoying each other’s company. Lauren received a stack of such images. “More than enough evidence of infidelity.”

She quickly forwarded them to Daniel. “Danny, what do you think of this dirt? Good enough?” she asked with icy confidence.

“More than good enough,” Daniel replied, pleased. “Per your prenup, after the divorce, you’ll own Ethan’s company and all his assets, including his car. File for divorce now, and it’ll all be yours soon. I’ll make sure it goes smoothly.”

Lauren was satisfied. Everything was falling into place. Ethan, oblivious, was enjoying his vacation with Jessica.

The ocean, nightclubs, evening strolls, and passionate nights created a paradise for them. They relaxed completely, forgetting all their troubles.

But all good things end. The next day, their vacation was set to wrap up, and Ethan began mentally preparing to return to reality. Then his phone buzzed with a message that froze him in place.

It read: “Due to pending divorce proceedings, all your assets are frozen.” Ethan stared at the screen, dumbfounded, struggling to process it.

His world seemed to collapse in an instant. Jessica, noticing his tense expression, peeked over his shoulder. “What’s that, babe?” she asked, seeing the message.

“My wife’s scheming,” Ethan growled, finally realizing what had happened. His thoughts turned to the prenup he’d signed years ago, dismissing it as trivial at the time. God, his “simple” wife had outplayed him.

Now he knew returning home meant more than an awkward conversation. His life was unraveling, and the problems were just beginning.

When Ethan got home, the first thing he saw was a spread of photos from his vacation, neatly fanned out on the coffee table. His wife sat on the couch, studying them. In her hand was a picture of him kissing Jessica against a backdrop of lush palm trees.

He knew he was caught, and panic surged through him. “Hey, honey,” he said, entering the room, trying to sound normal.

“Hey. How’s the new equipment? Up and running?” Lauren asked calmly, her eyes fixed on the photo, as if nothing had happened.
